Wip My violent heart update

Her base is almost done.
De doll will have a parrot skull.
I'm fighting with her pose grrrr, don't you hate it when these dolls are so stuborn?
I can't get the pose right because I use a skeleton with longer legs then usual.
I have to think about another pose now.

Wip My violent heart

The start of my new piece: My violent heart.
This is gonna be the background of the base.
The text on the sheet is the song text from My violent heart from Nine Inch Nails:

You and I, we may look the same
But we are very far apart
There's bullet-holes where my compassion used to be
And there is violence in my heart

Into fire you can send us
From the fire we return
You can label us a consequence
Of how much you have to learn

You can try but you'll never understand
This is something you will never understand
Can you hear it now?
Hear it coming now?
Can you hear it now?

On hands and knees
We crawl
You can not stop us all
you wear our bones
our skin
We will not let you in

You have set something in motion
Much greater than you've ever known
Standing there in all your grand naivety
About to reap what you have sown

Time will feed upon your weaknesses
And soon you'll lose the will to care
When you return to the place that you call home
We will be there, we will be there

On hands and knees
We crawl
You can not stop us all
Our blood will stay
We will not go away

On hands and knees
We crawl
You can not stop us all
Our blood, our grace
Will never leave this place

I'm back home from the show, exhausted but very happy.
I've seen so many fabulous work and saw so many nice people.
And of course there was my friend Millie next to me with her stunning work, she is so unbelievable talented!
The reactions on my work were so good, I've got so many nice compliments.
And.....tadada there's gonna be an article about my work in a doll magazine.
Claudine Roelens, yes the one who won the first prize for the third time in a row!!!!, is gonna write that article.
I was a nervous wreck on the first day of the show but when Ana Salvador, yes the famous doll maker, came to me and said she like my work very much and would have bought my piece "Broken" if she could afford it, all my nervous went away.
The godmother of the Duch/Belgium doll makers Niesje Wolters said she was impressed by my work and that I'm gonna be world famous, I was flabbergasted.
Donna (from so dark so cute)gave me and Millie a so dark so cute award.
It's a beautiful necklace with skull and our initial as you can see on one of the pictures.
So as you can imagine I'm on cloud nine for the rest of the week.
For now it's back to the routine and start a new doll.
I'm gonna use the pieces of antique lace I bought on the show for this new doll.

hugs
Es

work in progress Release me!!!

I just set the rough basic body up.
A lot of smoothing and apoxie adding to do.

DAG challenge Monster under the bed

I made this haunted dollhouse miniature bed for the Monster under the bed challenge from the Dark artist guild

I've got a monster in my closet
Someone's underneath my bed
The wind's knocking at my window
I'd kill it but it's already dead

It waits till the midnight hour to come
To torture me for the wrong I've done
it just sits there and stares me
And it won't let me get any sleep

At first I was scared when
I looked at his eyes
But now that I know him I'm not that surprised
I'm just waiting on the sun to rise
Oh how I wish that old sun would rise
